Health
Health is wealth, according to the very famous saying. It is wealth not in the sense that you get money or you earn if you are healthy but because when you have a healthy body you are able to do what you want and you don’t get to spend much of your money when seeking consultation with a medical practitioner and purchasing medicines whenever you get sick.
There are so many ways to keep your body healthy: eat the right food, exercise regularly, sleep at least 8 hours a day and keeping a happy disposition in life. Eating the right food means avoiding junk foods and foods that contain too much preservatives. Try to eat a balanced diet. Wouldn’t it be good practice to eat vegetables, pork/beef/chicken meat, vegetables, rice, fish and fruits everyday?
Children as young as they can be must be trained to eat nutritious foods. Their taste buds must be conditioned by slowly introducing to them nutritious foods as they begin to take in solid food. It would be hard to push them to eat those if they have not tasted it as they started taking in solid foods.
Regular exercises do not only burn excess fats but also helps prevent heart diseases, and it strengthens the heart and lungs. If you are having problems sleeping, exercise can also help. It is said that we must be able to get at least eight hours of sleep everyday to be able to have our bodies well rested. It is also believed that we must at least hit the bed by 11pm because it is at that time that when our body starts to rejuvenate.
Keeping a happy disposition in life will help in keeping the body healthy. Laughter they say is the best medicine. A good laugh every now and then will help to lighten up our mood and keep us away from stress which is not good for our health.
It is nice to live healthy and free of illnesses. But in cases when illness would really hit us or when we feel something unusual or beyond the normal, we must not dilly dally and wait long before we seek consultation. If we don’t seek medical consultation immediately, our health might be put at risk for more complications.
