A Ringing In Both Ears Since 1967
My tinnitus stems from the fact that I was a field artillery man with service in Germany and South Viet Nam.
The tinnitus is a constant ringing, sometimes it seems louder than others but the tinnitus is VERY annoying!!! I had a dental crown a few months ago.

For a long while I blamed tinnitus on loud music from when I was in my 20s but I was told that the pattern of my hearing loss (a high frequency roll-off) is typical of presbyaceusis and not of exposure to noise and, reassuringly, the loss has not changed over 5 years or so. But the tinnitus has increased in levels.
The tinnitus that results from exposure to loud noise or a blow to the head is probably the most common form of tinnitus. Our world is just getting noisier and nobody tells us of the dangers involved.

The tinnitus is a high pitch ringing all the time. Sometimes a sharp pain goes throuh my ears and the pitch of the tinnitus will go up a notch and stay for 30 mintues or so.

My tinnitis started after I damaged my ears on Sept 1st, 1999 while radip-firing a semi-auto rifle. I had a resultant tinnitis and that full and swollen feeling in my ears.
After 6 months I developed severe tinnitus in the left ear (where the tumor is) and the tumor remains, and it has not shrunk from the radiation.

I was constantly exposed to very high levels of noise at the plant and the ringing in the ear seemed to get worse as time went on and also when I was tired and stressed.
I listin to a lot of music, play music and have been since age 13. Also had minor whiplash a while ago and have gone through lots of stress over the past few months.
