It was Dec 2001 when the ear ringing did not leave in my right ear. When I would bite on an Ohenry bar or other hard edible object the downward biting motion would cause a ringing sensation in my right ear but would disappear immediately after the bite.
Then came that fateful moment in Dec 2001 when I bit rather hard on a hard rice krispie square...the ear ringing has not stopped since then :-(
I do not take any medications, experience no pain anywhere in my jaw or such and am healthy. no drugs or medications at all.
I have been to the dentist to try a jaw relief insert for 3 weeks....no luck. Went to a specialist who could not find anything wrong, ironically the hearing in my right ear is better than the left and my right ear has the ringing in it.
Tried motrin for 3 or 4 days. no go. If I clench my jaw the intensity of the ringing starts to increase depending how hard I clench, and when I relax it dissipates but not completely and unfortunately the ear ringing continues with its distraction.
I believe there is a tinnitus solution out there for this ear ringing and it is just a matter of time to find it. Maybe your ear ringing solution will work...I would be most grateful.
I did have 2 teeth filled, normal filling procedures, nothing major,but do not recall if the ear ringing started to occur , as I bit on food, after the fillings were done....

One other thing if I am laying on my back on the ground and attempt to tuck my chin to my neck which lifts my head off the ground the tension of the muscles tends to increase the intensity of the ringing.

It does sound as if you are suffering from cochlear damage related tinnitus.
Most folk don't know that there are millions of dainty nerve cells deep inside the ear that get influenced by the enormous pressures of waves of sound.
As a noise is noticed by your ears the cilia wave around, signals are discharged through the auditory nerve that your brain picks up and tells you you've just heard a sound.
When excitation then causes movement of those microscopic hair, similar a field of wheat on a farm moving in concert with the breeze.
All of those teensy-weensy hairs and these teensy-weensy nerve cells are easy to damage when you expose yourself to loud noise. The cochlear damage is all the more worse if you listen to your mp3 player at loud volumes for long periods of time.
These sensitive organs can also be damaged from a severe blow to the head. One's tiny hairs often get bent out of shape or even break and then randomly send electrical impulses straight to the brain which is interpreted as a sound, although there is no sound present.
Cochlear damage tinnitus resulting in to a chirping in the ears can also be caused by earwax treatments gone wrong, hopi ear candling, swimming pool accidents, playing sports, surgery to the head and can also be caused by middle ear infections.
Loss of hearing is definitely irreparable but our tinnitus remedies have been very successful at dramatically and permanently lowering the ear ringing levels from a damaged cohlea.
