The middle of Dec 2003 I went away with my partner to the Maldives and one day we went snokelling for 1 hour with a group of people (this was only snorkelling not scuba diving). When we got back off the boat, I told him that I felt I was still on the boat as I could feel the motion

The following morning I woke up in the hotel and the whole room was spinning very dramatically, which was very frightening at the time. For the rest of the holiday I felt very dizzy when I move my head, especially if I moved it from side to side.I left it a until I got back from holiday to go to the doctor, which was1 month later. It has improved a lot since then but I have still got it.
He prescribed me Sturgeon tablets, which didnot have any effect. The next time he prescribed Stemetil = Prochlorperazine malenate, for 2 weeks which didnt workThe next time he prescribed Valoid, for 3 weeks, which didnt work.The next time he prescribed Telfast, for 2 weeks, which didnt work.Now he has just prescribed me Betahistine for the next 2 weeks to see if that works.
The doctor has looked into my ears and cannot see anything. I do have a constant ringing in my ears, which isn't very loud but none the less, it is always there. My main concern it that it has been going on for over 3 months now. Do you think the snorkelling has caused the problem?My partner and I have decided to try for a baby and I am concerned about all these drugs I am taking before I get pregnant, do you think it isbest to stop taking any drugs before I get pregnant? Finally, from the description I have given you above, can you give meany advice on getting rid of this once and for all, as I am now fed-up with it?

Tinnitus from sinus may also be caused by your body reacting to drugs, antibiotics or antihistamines. After long periods of consuming antibiotics or antihistamines to control the sinus problems tintinitus is often noticed. It is the antibiotics and antihistamines that cause the mucous in the inner ear to become too thick and viscous to easily drain away through the very tight Eustachian tubes.
