This is because the mucous builds up and ultimately blocks the internal ear canal which causes pressure and may induce the ear ringing symptoms. This additional build up of pressure can not only cause tinnitus but also some middle ear infections.Sufferers of sinusitis, rhinitis and allergies will certainly at some time in their lives hear tinnitus sounds. Tinnitus from sinus may also be caused by your body reacting to drugs, antibiotics or antihistamines. After long periods of consuming antibiotics or antihistamines to control the sinus problems tinnitis is often noticed. It is the antibiotics and antihistamines that cause the mucous in the middle ear to become too thick and viscous to easily drain clear through the very tight Eustachian tubes. Due to the Eustachian tubes being very tight this additional build up of mucous in the middle ear canal will start causing problems and maybe even tinnitus.
