Below is an email which describes a classic case of stress induced tinnitus
Dear Mr. Currie
I have found your web site this evening and I am very intrigued to read for the first time since I started with tinnitus in 1993 a possible reason why I have it, which no one has ever offered any form of explanation.
I lost my mother in October 1992, she had cancer for 18 months, 12 of which she was unaware of and my father and I knew.
She had a long slow painfully death which I had to stand by and watch at the age of 23. About 6 months after my Mothers death the doctors thought I had an ear infection which left me with tinnitus in my right ear.
In 1997 I moved to Tenerife and for a while my symptoms were better but now have increased and my hearing has decreased in the last 24 months.
Was my mothers death the cause of my tinnitus?
Thanking you in anticipation,
Yours faithfully,Mrs. K.R.
Los Cristianos
Tenerife.
This is my reply:
Hello Mrs. K.R.,
It is quite obvious that you are a very sensitive and perceptive person!
I am convinced that the protracted illness, and subsequent death of your mother, and in particular the fact that you knew of her impending death at least 12 months before she did, was extremely traumatic and obviously affected you far more than you would imagine.
It is without doubt the root cause of your tinnitus. The stress and trauma of living with this knowledge, whilst trying to pretend that everything is normal must have been just too traumatic for words!
It is precisely this type of traumatic event that often triggers tinnitus, in fact what we refer to as stress tinnitus or stress tinnitus.
The fact that the symptoms actually abated somewhat when you moved to Tenerife, which seems to be complete change of lifestyle, also indicate that you are suffering from stress induced tinnitus.
The move to Tenerife most likely had a calming effect on you and thereby provided some temporary relief.
The root cause of this type of tinnitus is generally a traumatic event such as you experienced with the prolonged illness of your mother.
It also happens frequently when one is exposed to prolonged stress, depression and shock .
There is a part of the brain that is implicated with this type of tinnitus.
It is called the hypothalamus.
The hypothalamus is affected by traumatic events, shock, grief, long continued stress and depression. It is a primitive part of the brain, situated below the third ventricle.
It controls many systems in the body, including the pituitary gland, which in turn controls the endocrine organs, and the autonomic nervous system.
The hypothalamus controls the production of those 'feel good' chemicals your body needs to function normally.
It is when the hypothalamus stops producing these essential chemicals as a result of traumatic events, long continued stress or bouts of depression or anxiety that tinnitus occurs.
In conventional thinking , it was always, and still is in fact, unheard of that the brain can be responsible for causing tinnitus.
Tinnitus after all is an ear problem, right?
WRONG!!!
Mrs. K.R., if you refer back to our website and in particular, to the section about Mr L. who was our first tinnitus patient , you will see that after much treatment: (without any success), many hours of research;soul searching; late nights spent stressing about his friend's mental condition, Dr B had decided to completely abandon all previous thinking and everything he had ever learnt and read about tinnitus, its causes and treatments.
Nothing was working in any event.
Dr. B had decided that in order to save his friend's life, he would need to do some creative and lateral thinking.
The first decision Dr. B made was to toss out all of his previous thinking and to get Mr. L in for an in depth interview.
He delved further into his personal history in an effort to gain some understanding of this debilitating ailment.
He eventually pinpointed this important fact : Mr. L's Tinnitus had started shortly afte r the tragic loss of his son in a motor accident!
This fact was to prove to be the key that started the turn around!
Mr. L's Ttinnitus had begun about six months after the sudden death of his son.
The predominant sounds he was experiencing was ringing, whistling, whizzing, and rushing (as of a waterfall.)
In all of Dr. B's studies, he had never read about the hypothalamus being implicated in tinnitus.
When none of his remedies were helping with his friend Mr. L's tinnitus symptoms, he decided in desperation, to discard his books and everything he had learnt about tinnitus and start up an uncharted path
He decided to start treating the hypothalamus.
Dr B aimed his "new research" at a host of remedies rumored in Africa to have a reputation for treating Tinnitus.
He was convinced that the Hypothalamus and related structures in the brain, such as the Pons, the pituitary fossa, the basal cisterns, the corpus callosum, the brain stem, the ventricular system all play a part in causing tinnitus.
Dr. B starting treating Mr. L with various Southern African herbs and plants that he made into homeopathic remedies.
These new tinnitus treatment remedies were not usually associated with tinnitus. In fact, these herbs and plants had not previously been used in any form of homeopathy.
These remedies were aimed at treating the hypothalamus which Dr. B had begun to suspect was the real cause of his Tinnitus.
Whenever Mr. L got disillusioned and depressed, Dr. B counseled and consoled his friend, all the time exhorting him to stick rigorously to the treatments.
Before long, Mr. L found that the new tinnitus remedies he was taking helped to lift the pall of depression he had long been suffering, he also found that the panic attacks he had become prone after the death of his son also abated.
His tinnitus however, remained at the same high levels, even if he felt good about himself. But when relief came it was as sudden as it was dramatic!
One day, after about two months on these new tinnitus remedies, he burst into Dr. Bro rooms and gave Dr B the news!
His tinnitus had reduced overnight to a level that was only about 25% of the previous levels.
For the first time in years he had slept through the night, two night in a row!The breakthrough had been made...
All of Dr. B's studies, his sleepless nights and his perseverance with the belief that a part of the brain (the hypothalamus) was responsible for stress and trauma induced tinnitus, was justified!
Mrs. K.R,. you will find that the Type 7 tinnitus treatment remedies will also help you in overcoming the debilitating effects of tinnitus.
Kind regards,
John Currie.
Some information about the T-Gone stress tinnitus remedy
The stress tinnitus treatment remedy has been much improved and refined over the intervening years, to such an extent that it is one of our most popular and successful tinnitus remedies with a success rate of over 80%.
The T7 tinnitus treatment remedy is certainly not a quick fix. It takes some time to 'kick start' the hypothalamus to start producing those essential chemicals and trace elements so vital for the correct functioning of your body!
If you persist however, relief is almost sure to follow.
The T-Gone stress remedy also helps enormously with those feelings of stress and anxiety.
It is very possible that you will experience fairly dramatic relief quite soon after starting the stress tinnitus treatment remedies, but to predict a timespan for complete relief is not really possible.
When those feelings of stress and anxiety start lifting , the levels of your tinnitus soon start decreasing .
It is recommended that at least a 12 week supply of the stress tinnitus remedies be ordered to obtain lasting relief from the stress induced tinnitus you are experiencing.
