Insurance tinnitus masking device
I have had tinnitus from as young as I can remember. I have always been able to hear hight pitched sound out of the range of most people. Like burglar alarms, bat detecters, mechanical noises, etc. Hi Tammy, I bet you didn't realize that there are millions of delicate hairs within the cochlea that are influenced by the pressures of sound waves caused by external noise. As and when a sound is discerned by your ear and the minute hairs wave around, electrical impulses are sent via the auditory nerve which your brain interprets as noise. When stimulation causes a stirring of those dainty hair cells, which is similar a field of wheat shifting in concert with the wind. All those microscopic nerve endings and the wee nerve cells are easy to damage when exposed to sudden loud noises. This damage is automatically intensified if you listen to your mp3 player at loud volumes over an extended period of time. The hair cells and nerves are damaged and bent as a result of a blow to the head. All those auditory hairs bend out of shape or even break and then randomly send electrical impulses straight to the brain which is interpreted as a sound, though there is none. Cochlea damage which leads to high frequency hearing loss and tinitis can also be caused by earwax treatments gone wrong, ear candling, swimming pool accidents, playing sports, ear surgery or even from middle ear infection. Impaired hearing is irreparable nevertheless the tinnitus remedies are very successful in dramatically lowering the tinnitis levels from cochlea damage.
