I have suffered sinus problems more than usual in this time. I am a smoker, but lead a fairly healthy life, eating well, doing exercise and drinking 2 glasses of water a day. I have had my hearing assessed and its quite good, except for the high pitched ringing.

When I was young I was told that I had a deformed eustacian tube. I have had a few stresses in my life and have started suffering from panic attacks after a motorcycle accident in 1998. I was knocked out for 2 minutes but spent 20 days in hospital having operations on my legs and metal placed in them.

I became iron deficient and seem to have a problem with that still although i do eat meat and vegetables. I get pain in my sinus on the right hand side, and was convinced that it was my wisdom teeth. Only to find that it wasnt and after several scans and specialists they said my sinus was ok.

When my sinus is sore, my tinnitus seems worse. Not sure if this is just in my head. Not sure what else to tell you.

It certainly does seem that your tinnitus problems are sinus related. Especially as you have a deformed Eusatchian tube as the Eustachian tubes are vital for the mucuous in the inner ears to drain out through.

If there are problems with those you could well have a buildup of the mucuous with infections, cochlea damage and tinnitus being the result!
