By John On September 29, 2006 Under Ringing In Ears

Are you experiencing a ringing or buzz in the ear?

Then it is possible, in fact make that probable, that you have been exposed to loud noise at some time in the past and have experienced hearing loss as a result. There doesn’t even have to be a sustained exposure to nose to cause this problem which is the result of damage to the cochlea in the inner ear.

Often cochlear damage occurs as a result of a sudden loud noise or a blow to the head. When those airbags deploy in a motor accident the shock and noise that is generated often causes cochlear damage with the resultant [tag-tec ear ringing]ear ringing[/tag-tec] or that buzz in the ear that you are experiencing.

Often the cochlear damage which causes the [tag-tec]ringing[/tag-tec] in the ear is caused from the modern day MP3 players which are often played at very loud volume settings for long periods of time.

When you have a ringing or buzz in the ear you are suffering from tinnitus.
