Chronic Tinnitus

By John On October 6, 2006 Under Tinnitus Articles

I have had chronic tinnitus now for 5 years.

Before that time I would only ocassionally get tinnitus. The [tag-tec]tinnitus[/tag-tec] seems to be bad in the springtime, ocassionally in the fall. But it would come then go away on it’s own.

I have had problems with both allergies and sinusitis. I suffer from alot of congestion, however this last year im getting bouts of runny nose, sneezing itchy eyes etc. That tends to lead to sinus infections if i dont irrigate.

Back about 5 years ago I got the [tag-ice]tinnitus[/tag-ice]and it would not go away. I felt as if i was loosing my mind. Couldnt sleep etc. ended up in the hospital from not sleeping. I was given all kinds of antidepressants etc.

Funny thing is the [tag-self]tinnitus[/tag-self] never went away?????

Now I’m suffering from what I think is fall allergies. My tinnitus is much louder.

Things I notice that seem to aggravate tinnitus or make it louder:

Stress or anxiety
excercise (areobic types)
Sinus infections-seasonal changes and allergies.
Some headaches. tensing my jaw.

I have had ocasions of tmj in my life as well.

Any ideas.???? would be great to go to bed without the crickets in my ears!!!!

I’ve learned to live with it because thats all my doctors say to do??????
Thank you
Rich N.Y.

Rich I know what you mean when you say you have learnt to live with tinnitus. What you actually are meaning to say is “I have learnt to accept it!”

Well Rich you don’t have to accept or live with tinnitus.

We have had excellent success in treating this particular tinnitus type (sinus tinnitus) using our Type 3 sinus tinnitus treatment which acts to thin down the the mucous in the inner ear which is causing the congestion. When the mucous gets thinned down it can then easily drain out through the Eustachian tubes.

Whenever the mucous starts building up in the inner ear, congestion and middle ear infections occur with hearing loss and tinnitus often the result.
