Ears ringing consistently for 4-5 years!
I am 46 and I have had ringing in my ears consistently for the past 4 – 5 years. The hearing in my left ear has been slowly diminishing during this time period.
When I was a child I had many ear infections. My parents suspecting that I might be having hearing problems took me to the Doctor who performed surgery to “puncture” my ear drums in order to relieve pressure build up.
When I was a teenager I listened to a lot of very loud music and remember my [tag-ice ears ringing]ears ringing[/tag-ice] for 3 days after a concert.
When I was 19 I had a car accident and sustained a concussion.
When I was in my early 20′s an ear Doctor determined that I had damage to both ear drums particularly the left, likely from the ear drum puncturing as a child. This had left me deaf within a certain sound range (usually lower toned voices are hard to hear with my left ear) When I was 29 I experienced divorce and over the next 4 years experienced a lot of stress.
In my 30′s I was in a band and again subjected myself to loud music.
Unfortunately, I also contracted herpes.
Now, in my 40′s I find that I have sinus issues in the morning and I also now ride a Harley (though I do wear ear plugs
Over the past 4 years I have experienced a lot of “relationship” stress with 2 different serious relationships ending.
The [tag-tec ear ringing]ear ringing[/tag-tec] is constant and loud enough that, if not talking, I am aware of it. The ringing is louder in my left ear. I went to see an ear specialist and audiologist several years ago. The ear Doctor told me that both ears looked great, though he could see an indication of the ear drum puncturing I sustained as a child, and the audiologist told me that “I should be able to hear just fine”. They were not helpful.
Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.
Hi Peg
It is clear to me that the one thing you seem to have consistently been exposed to for the first 30 years of your life is noise. Don’t feel alone there as so have 90% of most other people in their 40′s and who knows what sort of problems today’s young people are going to have as a result of the new cheap MP3 technologies!
I agree with your audiologist that the puncturing of your eardrums probably caused more long term damage than the supposed relief of the pressure!
Given your frequent bouts of ear infections combined with the exposure to noise it is most definitely cochlear damage that is causing you to have high frequency hearing loss and ear ringing problems today.
That car accident you were involved in at 19 could also have caused cochlear damage.
We have have tremendous successes with this tinnitus type over the years but there is unfortunately nothing that can be done to bring back the hearing loss.
I would certainly advise that you keep those earplugs handy at all times (not only on the Harley) as sudden loud noises can cause further major damage in your situation.
Given the length of time and severity of your ear ringing it is going to take a concerted effort on your part to get to the stage where the ear ringing ceases to be problematic and to stop being a factor in your life.
Peg please be assured that you can achieve relief from ear ringing but that it will most likely take at least 3-4 months of treatment of those delicate organs in the cochlea. The remedy most suited to this ear ringing type is our Type 4 Cochlear Damage Tinnitus Remedy which is actually our original remedy and by far the most popular and successful remedy with a success rate of almost 85%.
Simply click on the link above and you will be taken to a page where you can order the remedy and even listen to Ellen’s audio explanation of how the cochlear damage ear ringing remedy actually works.
Remember that homeopathy is a process that heals the cause of the problem and is not a quick fix but also be aware that we have helped many thousands of ear ringing sufferers such as yourself!
I hope this helps somewhat and please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can of further assistance! And be careful on that Harley!
