What’s causing my tinnitus?
I am 25 yrs of age and have been suffering from tinnitus for these past 4 yrs I have been told that I suffer from tinnitus but never known the case why I have it.
I never had long term medications, never been exposed to high noises for a long term and was a healthy young lady before, lately I noticed that I am having also blocked nose as if I have a cold and have been told again it is cos of my [tag-ice]tinitus[/tag-ice] been to different e.n.t consaltants but never checked about sinus or nose as I thought it is mainly coming from my ears. So not have hearing loss as I did several tests and hearing was normal.
Could this be [tag-ice]sinus[/tag-ice], allergies or nasal problem? I hear buzzing in my ears especially when there are no other noises and it is quite frustrating and been told that there is no cure for it, if this is not tinitus only could the problem be somthing else, could you let me know of any other tests I can make to rule this out as I do not know yet what is causing it?
Thanks alot for your help!
Hi Jo,
Let us take it one step at at time. You cannot get a stuffed or blocked nose from tinnitus, rather it would be the other way round. It is quite possible that your tinnitus is sinus induced. What happens with this tinnitus type is that the mucous in the inner ear tends to become too thick to drain out through the Eustachian tubes and as result causes congestion, ear infections and tinnitus.
You can find out more about sinus tinnitus by clicking on the link. You can order the sinus tinnitus remedy from this link and also get a lot more information about this tinnitus type, including an audio recording giving you a very detailed explanation regarding sinus tinnitus.
Hope this helps.
