The tinnitus just started in my right ear.

By John On October 19, 2006 Under Tinnitus Questions

The tinnitus really has just started in my right ear, have experienced a degree of deafness for quite a few years..I’m now 51.

I often feel ‘blocked’ in the ears (more so now) and experience ocasionally ‘pressure pain’ in both ears as if there might be a little infection. I have experienced a drumming feeling/sound whilst in the car with the windows slightly down.

As a child I suffered with hay fever up to the age of early 20′s when I realised I could do quite a few things to improve my health… and ..I did. Apparently I was known to have a constant runny nose as an infant, even now I experience a slight discharge down my right nostral that crusts (dries) throughout the day.

In my youth a also experienced middle ear infection which abscessed and burst and have a hole in my eardrum. I have experienced concussion a few times due to accidents and unfortunately have a history of being regularly hit on the head by my father up to the age of 17.

Due to my upbringing I have suffered with anxiety and panic attacks. I have lost a child. Rarely have I experienced ‘obvious” tinnitus..

I would like to nip this in the bud if possible. At present I am studying naturopathy and have an exam next week.

Hi Jane, I am really not surprised that your suffered anxiety and panic attacks with all the bumps and knocks you have had to the head.

A blow to the head can cause severe damage to the delicate inner ear structures leading to high frequency hearing loss and tinnitus. This would obviously be the root cause of your tinnitus this would most likely be triggered or aggravated by stress and or anxiety.

I also often experience a drumming feeling sensation sometimes in the car with the windows down but this is not tinnitus and you should not concern yourself with that.

That stuffy, congested feeling in the ears could be a slight case of Meniere’s disease although if you are not experiencing bouts of vertigo and nausea this is probably unlikely. I would try a low salt diet to see if this would alleviate the problem. Visit this link for low salt dietary advice

You can order the cochlear damage tinnitus remedy at this link.

I would recommend at least an 8 to 12 week supply in view of the length of time you have been suffering from cochlear damage. You will also have to take steps to prevent further damage to the cochlea occuring by avoiding exposure to loud noises.

If there is a possibility that you will be exposed to noise, get yourself some earplugs and USE them.

My wife and i ended up being very relieved Peter managed to finish off his inquiry through the entire ideas he was given from your very own site. It’s not at all simplistic to just choose to be handing out guidance which most people could have been trying to sell. And we also consider we now have the website owner to be grateful to because of that. All the explanations you’ve made, the straightforward web site navigation, the friendships you can help foster – it’s many remarkable, and it’s really aiding our son and the family feel that this situation is thrilling, and that is especially essential. Many thanks for the whole lot!
