The Most Significant Tinnitus Survey Ever?

By John On August 26, 2008 Under Tinnitus & Related Blogs, Tinnitus Articles, Tinnitus News, Tinnitus Questions, t-gone

It dawned on me the other day that our subscribers are in a unique position to help each other and also to provide incredibly valuable information about tinnitus, the causes, the severity of symptoms experienced, age, gender etc.

The 20,000 subscribers to the T-Gone.com newsletter have a unique opportunity to generate hugely important information. I know of no other site or forum that could actually collect such valuable and helpful data. The information gathered is of course totally confidential, and the results will be posted on our blog and published in the revised and updated edition of Ellen’s Free Tinnitus Self Help Guide.

We will also provide the data to the various tinnitus associations around the world to aid their research.

Please Click Here to take survey now

The aim has to be to educate people about tinnitus in order try and prevent, or at least reduce, new incidences of tinnitus. particularly among the young.

This could very well be the most significant and important survey since the 1980’s. I know you busy, but please take the time to complete the survey as it will help you as well as other tinnitus sufferers ultimately.

Thanking you in advance and keep an eye out for the results of the survey.

If there are questions I should add, please list them in the comment section below this post after you have taken the survey.

Thanking you in advance :)

Hello Rita,

I understand your feelings but sometimes a 5 minute little survey like this could really help you as it will crystallize your thinking and help to pinpoint the cause of the tinnitus.

You are also welcome to call Ellen who is also a tinnitus sufferer on 800 314 2910. She is a tinnitus sufferer who has been through the seemingly endless spiral many sufferers of severe tinnitus experience.

It is a toll free call and she is almost certain to be able to help you.

Regards,
John Currie

Dear Sir / Madam

Consequent upon improper function of abdomn ,gastric trouble(called vata in Ayurved) arise, vata creat 84 types of disease and tinitus is one of them.

Cure of tinitus is to balance of vata.If vata is in control then tinitus can be cured in intial stage.

In my case tinitus is 19years old in left ear and continues hearing loss in my right ear , resulted complete deafness (2months back).

I shown the Ayrvedic Doctor and given treatment for vata and good news is that i am able to hear by right ear now.

The noise in left ear is continues but in control.

This is my experience and shareing to my all the brothers and sisters throughout the world, who are suffering from tinitus.

Thanks and regards

Hi John!

I wish I could say I have tried your product, but because we are on a very limited budget, I cannot afford it. I have, however, heard very good things about the product. I do subscribe to the newsletters and they have helped me alot to at least attempt to live with it.

The only part of the survey that bothers me is that I hear the ringing in both ears in my head, and it did not allow me to say that.

Thanks for working so hard to help!

Dear readers,
For me it was very difficult to accept Tinnitus , and still is .
I was told by ENT specialist that my tinnitus was due
to the working environment , damaged sensors, so I was very
disappointed with medical profession. I worked as an Audio
Technician. In a noisy environment.
I can’t sleep at night , and take medication to sleep.
I just hope they will find some sort of help for tinnitus sufferers. Michael

Hi Mr. John Currie .

Actually, I can remember approximately 3 years ago,I heard unpleasant
sound into my ears . At first I really frightend ,and I thought I have a
tumour in my brain . I was really scared and I was searching for a

professional neurologist . The Dr. told me you need to take an X-ray from
your brain . At the next appointment I brought my brain X-ray .The Dr.
studied my brain X-ray and told me You don’t have any problem .
I was really confused , and I didn’t know what should I do !!!
It was really weird . There wasn’t any symptom in my brain ,and I found
out it must be from my ears .
The funny thing is at the beginning the sound was pretty quiet but now
it’s increasing ,and at least I don’t know how can I control it or
prevent it to being worse . I must confess I can’t sleep at night and
I need to take medication to sleep .
Now I’m one of the tinnitus suffere and I really don’t know how can I deal
with it ?!!!
I’m not totally sure but I think it made by my mp3 player , I used to
listen to the music alomst 3-4 hours a day .
But now I’ve hesitation between listening mp3 and sinusitis !!!
This was my experience about my ears condition and I’d like to share it
with everybody from all over the world .

Thanks
Amir

Applaud your efforts in general. However, I look down on posts with misspellings as being somewhat less than professional. Watch that stuff.

On the survey, you need a “don’t know” answer for the question of how the tinnitus originated. You could suggest guessing, since that’s all my hearing specialist could do.

I also wish that one could state that the tinnitis was in both ears (more than one answer was necessary but not allowed).

Also, rating the level of tinnitus from 0-10 is in relation to what? Zero obviously is no tinnitus, but then what are we rating? Sound levels? Bothersomeness? Hearing loss, which is different? How does one rate intermittent tinnitus? That question doesn’t mean a thing, in contrast to at least some information one can discern from the medical pain rating.

Good luck with your survey.

I have suffered for tinnitus since 1977. I try various treatment i.e. medication, reiki, accupuncture, electrical pulse, tinnitools, vitamin, neurolog, but no one succeded.

I feel my t get worse lately, perhaps it is because of my age.

I have been on the sinus remedy tablets for a few months. I do take them religously and will continue to. I can’t say that I notice a big difference yet. Sometimes my ringing is really bad. Maybe I am noticing it just a little less? I’m not sure yet. It took years, no doubt to have this problem. I will continue to be patient. I’m thinking to try the product for the inner ear damage. Maybe I assumed my problem is from my allergies and sinus and I am not 100% correct. All I do know is, is this company cares and takes my condition seriously. Know one else has. Certainly not the doctors that say get a hearing aid and give up the quest. Well, I am not giving up!!

I am a lifelong musician. The Tinnitus has really stolen the joy to play. It seems that I got this from a job, but now any time I play music the Tinnitus gets louder and lasts for several hours at an unbearable level. Sometimes it wakes me up and is so loud I feel my skull will split. Is there any hope?

I have had Tinnitus in my left ear for 11 months now, along with dizziness and ear presure, I have been taking T’gon Type4 and Type7 for almost 5 months, my tinnitus is as bad now as its ever been so I am wondering if I’ve got no hope of ever getting without this awful torment, I have no choice now but to carry on with the remedies for a bit longer yet because it gives me hope, without that I’m done for, I can’t live the rest of my days with Tinnitus, thats for sure and at 58 I have to wonder where this is leading, Ive had all the tests and scans and have been told to live with it!, easier said than done I think. if any fellow suffer’ers out there have any suggestions and would like a chat, call me Phil on 077 943 77325

Hi J ,I think it is very importent to run this survey .You need to continue it with much eating habits versus tinitus qwestions .For excemple -is it only me that a glass of Coke or a slice of bread raise noise level ?
Or that something healthy ,like 2 dates on not so noisy day can raise the sound of this far away truck in the back of my neck .going deeper into foods we my find thing that are bad for all ,or good. Rajendra Maheshwari in his comment ,gave me some insight I didn’t have ,thanks him here .In the end ,I do not think the medical estabilishment or ENT will solve or even understand the root of this evil .But I call on my fellow sufferers to send you more on diffrents ailments thy have -even if seemed not connected to Tinnitus .it all connected ,we are one ,inspit the need of Big farma to create so maney names in order to produce so more many drugs ,each pinpoint at one problem .Collecting this vast info can lead to understanding that a cure foe tinnitus is also good for other problems .Thanks Moshe.O’—can you put here a spelling correction tool for the like of me that English isn’t their first lingo ,make people more free to participate ?Thanks again ,good work.

Whether it is important or not I couldn’t say but the noise I experience is continuous, like a electronic squeal and pitched around a piano key of C above middle C, but not exactly ie it is not a B or a D but closer to a C.
