Listen to White Noise

Listen to White Noise

Many sufferers of tinnitus would agree that ringing (or it could be buzzing, roaring, hissing, among others) in the ear proves to be bothersome and annoying. It can even get in the way of our day-today activities. Having it can make concentrating or falling asleep difficult, which can lead to more serious conditions.

When you find it hard to concentrate or fall asleep, one of the steps that you can take is to listen to white noise. Its purpose is to drown out or mask the ringing noise, hence, your tinnitus is made less noticeable. This is also known as tinnitus masking.

You do not have to look far for a source of white noise. Your stereo or television set can be a source for it. There are also MP3s and CDs that are specifically made to produce white noise, making the masking of the ringing in your ears a lot more convenient.
