Many people suffer from ringing ears called tinnitus. The common causes of tinnitus are extreme exposure to loud sounds, over fatigue, mental stress and high dose of antibiotics and aspirin. There is no specific treatment for tinnitus. It may just go away on its own or may stay forever if not treated. How to get rid of ringing ears?

* Limit or avoid exposure to loud noises, such as music, power tools, gunshots, and industrial machinery.
* Learn to minimize or stop drinking alcohol and beverages containing caffeine.
* Quit smoking. Nicotine use may cause tinnitus by reducing blood flow to the structures of the ear
* Take regular exercise. This improves the blood flow in the ear to prevent tinnitus
* Keep up a healthy weight. Obesity can cause tinnitus
* Live a healthy lifestyle and have enough sleep.
