The damaging effects of loud noise cannot be underestimated. Damage occurs slowly and does not happen immediately. People usually notice diminishing hearing once much of the delicate cells are destroyed.

Employers should provide safety gear to the employees exposed to hazard zones. Earmuffs and earplugs offer protection against loud machinery noise. Most people cannot tolerate the thundering noise produced by large equipment, and those who can usually end up with hearing impairment after several years.

Fact is that hearing impairment is becoming a popular disability occurring due to unfavorable work environments. Hearing loss can be prevented by wearing earplugs and be addressed through hearing aids.
