Every single part of our body plays different kinds of roles that are very important for us to survive. It is important to give each and every part the right amount of care it needs to function normally. When it comes to our ears, they do not only exist to hear sounds but they are also designed to keep our balance and body positioning. Thus, if it gets damaged, we do not only lose our sense of hearing but our body gets a little disoriented as well. Our ears are not as invincible as we think it is and one of the ear conditions that has been devastating the lives of many people for many years is Tinnitus or ringing in ear.

Tinnitus is when a person regularly hears an ear ringing, clicking, buzzing, chirping or roaring sound in the ear without any particular external source of the sound. This ear condition has puzzled professionals for many years and up to now; the cure for ringing in ear is still on the loose. It is known that Tinnitus is not a disease but rather a symptom of an underlying medical condition. The diseases that cause it may range from the kinds of diseases that are mild and much simpler to cure to diseases that are very critical and would need a much more prolonged treatment. Some of these medical conditions include hearing loss, stress, hypertension, ear tumor, ear and sinus infections, Meniere’s disease and many others.

It may be true that Tinnitus does not have a cure but we can actually do several things to avoid it. First of all, you should start protecting yourself from everyday noise. The exposure to loud levels of sounds causes an injury to our ears. They do not necessarily have to be instantly painful but they can actually be very dangerous. What you can do is to wear the right ear protection such as earmuffs and earplugs if you work in a noisy environment. Furthermore, try to keep the volume of music devices such as radios, mp3s and ipods to a much lower level.

Aside from that, you can avoid ringing in ear by avoiding stress. You can actually get rid stress by keep a positive outlook towards life despite all the difficulties that you may experience. Another would to live a healthy lifestyle and avoid habits like drinking alcohol, smoking and drinking a lot of coffee. Moreover, try to eat the kinds of foods that are proven to be beneficial to our ears. These kinds of foods are those that are rich in Vitamin B, Zinc and Magnesium. Always keep in mind that by doing these simple things you can prevent diseases that can be very destructive not only to your ears but to all the other parts of your body as well.
