Meniere’s disease is a disorder of the ear of the inner ear which makes the person experience episodes of dizziness, a sensation of spinning in motion (vertigo), fluctuating hearing loss, fullness in the ear, nausea and vomiting. People with Meniere’s disease may also have tinnitus which may be intermittent or persistent.

Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the ear even if there is no source at all. It is usually described as a ringing noise humming, whistling or high pitch whining. The ringing sensation is not actually a disease by itself but symptom of various conditions. Causes include ear infection, earwax buildup, cochlear damage from head injury or prolonged exposure to loud noises and Meniere’s disease. The ringing in the ear can also be a side-effect of prolonged medication. Antibiotics and aspirins causes the mucous to become viscous making it impossible to pass though Eustachian tubes.

Meniere’s disease is often associated with uncontrollable tinnitus and vertigo. It attacks with warning, so the victim doesn’t have the time to prepare prior to its occurrence. Vertigo (spinning) experience is very often to people suffering from Meniere’s disease. The attack occurs in variable episodes in average of two to four hours. A victim is sometimes required to sleep to relieve from the condition.

Meniere’s disease is chronic condition that can be treated with two Meniere’s disease remedies. One remedy is formulated to treat tinnitus from vertigo associated with Meniere’s disease and another one for tinnitus relief caused by cochlear damage.

A change of lifestyle and diet such low salt intake can also bring relief to the suffering.
