Easy Tips to End High Pitch Ringing In Ears

By John On May 16, 2011 Under Ringing In Ears

Troublesome tinnitus should be dealt with appropriately because it can lead to other problems like anxiety, insomnia, and depression. There are different ways to stop that high pitch ringing in ears from impairing your life. Check out these non-invasive and cost-efficient ways that can be used or done as a relief for tinnitus.

1. Turn on your radio at low volume – Tinnitus is more noticeable when you are in a quiet room. Some noise can help you feel more comfortable. While you may buy a tinnitus masker, you can take advantage of simple devices you find at home. In fact, you can listen to music to take away your attention from the vicious ringing in your ears.

2. Learn to focus your attention to other things – The reason your tinnitus seems to get louder is because you spend a lot of time listening to it. Instead of listening to that awful noise inside your head, listen to music or read a book or do something worthwhile. Go out and exercise or play sports. Join social groups and have an active life.

3. Cut back stress – Manage stress through relaxation and lifestyle modification. Stress can aggravate your tinnitus, making it sound louder and worse. Deep breathing exercises can help you lower stress levels. Healthy diet can also help you bring down stress. Examples are walnuts, salmon, oatmeal, and spinach.

4. Eliminate or reduce caffeine and alcohol – Caffeine is a stimulant that activates your nervous system. Reports say that it worsens ringing ears among many patients. Alcohol, on the other hand, disrupts your body fluid chemistry and can also worsen tinnitus. Drinking caffeine-laden drinks and alcohol beverages is not recommended if you have Meniere’s disease, an inner ear disorder that causes tinnitus.
