One of the symptoms of Menieres Disease is vertigo. However, there are other medical problems where a person can also manifest the same problem. Here are ways to tell if a person has Menieres Disease or not:
1. If a person experiences dizziness with vertigo. Remember that with dizziness, you lose your balance and you get a feeling of movement while the surrounding is still. As for vertigo, you experience a spinning sensation while you and the surrounding environment are at still.
2. When a person notices progressive hearing loss. Constant attacks are not good as they can lead to progressive hearing loss.
3. A person starts complaining of ringing in the ears. Hearing this ear ringing noises may be the last symptom that can appear for a person with Menieres.
Getting just one of the symptoms mentioned above can have a huge impact in your lifestyle. However, with Menieres you get all three. There are several ways to control the symptoms though such as medications for vertigo, hearing aids for hearing loss and proven treatments for tinnitus, you just need to consult your doctor about that.
