Tinnitus Caused by Q Tips: Proper Care for the Ears

Ringing in the ears or tinnitus has several causes. It can be a symptom of an underlying medical condition or it may be brought about by improper care of the ears. Tinnitus ringing in the ears caused by q tips is a very common case. A lot of people actually do overkill with the way they clean their ears. So instead of actually cleaning the ears, they most likely cause damage to it. There is a proper way of taking care of your ears:

• Clean only the outer ear – This means the one outside which people can see. You may clean it using cotton balls or tissue paper.

• Remember that the ear has a self cleaning mechanism – Not most people know it, but our ears use its own self cleaning mechanism to push ear wax out.
