Tinnitus or ringing in the ears is usually characterized by a ringing, clicking, chirping, hissing, buzzing or roaring noise in one or both ears. It can be caused by several kinds of health problems. Sadly, up until now, the exact cure for tinnitus has not yet been created making it more difficult for tinnitus sufferers to cope with their condition. If you don’t want to acquire tinnitus, you must know what can cause it for you to avoid them and in the process avoid tinnitus. Some of the common causes of tinnitus are as follows:
1. Hearing Loss – it is an ear condition that is commonly caused by aging and the exposure to loud levels of noise. It can affect anyone in spite of age or gender.
2. Meniere’s Disease – this inner ear disorder does not only bring about tinnitus but also vertigo and hearing loss. The exact cause of this condition is still unknown and the only way to relieve it is to give remedy to its symptoms.
3. Stress – many of us know how stress can affect our health and it is actually one of the common causes why our ears may ring. What happens when we are stressed is that the different parts our body may not be able to receive the right amount of chemicals that they needed which can cause all the health problems that stress brings.
There are many other health problems that can cause ears ringing and they include ear and sinus infection, head injuries, hypertension, otosclerosis, acoustic neuroma and TMJ disorders. Tinnitus can be a very debilitating ear condition that is why as much we can we must always try to avoid the causes for ringing ears.
