Overcoming Hearing Aid Fears: The Road to Better Hearing
Overcoming Hearing Aid Fears: The Road to Better Hearing
by John M. Burkey
Hearing loss is no longer a problem our grandparents suffer from. Instead we, the baby boomers of the world, have become the grandparents and with it come the natural, although uncomfortable subject of hearing loss. Almost everyone loses some of their hearing over time and John M. Burkey, author, suggests that we could improve our lives and the lives of people around us (some of whom we love dearly) by getting used to the idea that we might need a hearing aid as we mature.
I found it interesting that he would author a book on hearing loss, but then again I figure it is smart. I’m sure a large majority of people who purchase books on Amazon, either hard back or through their Kindle, are of an age when they have to start dealing with the stark reality that our bodies are not young anymore. The way we lived our lives, loud cars, work places and music, is going to affect our hearing. This is, almost, a certainty. If you, or someone you know and love is suffering from natural hearing loss, don’t just nag, give them some good information to digest. My review of the writing style of Burkey found it easy to understand and quick to read.
