What causes this confounded nuisance?

By John On March 1, 2009 Under tinnitus cure

Hello! Thanks for staying in touch. Tinnitus is not keeping me awake but it is a confounded nuisance; sometimes I forget it but then suddenly it makes itself noisily apparent.

My doc said it is a build up of wax and advised warm olive oil. I have tried this to no effect.  As padre to the Royal Canadian branches in this area I am obliged to attend noisy bands once per week and it is my belief this is the cause.

Even when I’ve made excuses and not attended, the trouble continues. What may alleviate this nuisence?
Thank you.
Fr John

Hello Father John,

Exposure to noise is a major cause of tinnitus. If you did have a buildup of earwax and were experiencing noises as a result, they would vanish with the removal of the wax.

I would recommend the remedy for relief from tinnitus as a result of  cochlear damage. It is not an overnight fix, but in 85% of all tinnitus cases it will gradually reduce the levels of the tinnitus to a point where it no longer is invasive or an irritation.

Regards,
John Currie
