Stop Ringing in Ears The Natural Way

By Jane On March 3, 2009 Under Ringing In Ears, Tinnitus Articles

Tinnitus has puzzled medical practitioners, and as of yet, there is no conventional medication that is specifically designed to treat it. Because of this, many sufferers aim to stop ringing in ears through a natural approach. One advantage of having this kind of approach is that the sufferers will be spared of the side effects that some conventional drugs used as relief agents may have.

One way of naturally stopping the unwanted sound in the sense that you get to ignore it is listening to low music. You can also mask the ringing in your ears by listening to the static from your FM radio or television set. The noise produced by your bedside fan or air conditioner can likewise be used as maskers. Masking is especially helpful during times when you need to concentrate, relax, or when you find it difficult to sleep at night because of tinnitus.

Moreover, you need to have a remedy that would focus on the root cause of the ringing in your ears and not just its symptoms. You can have one from the homeopathic tinnitus remedies, where there is a corresponding homeopathic remedy for each of the main causes of tinnitus known as noise-induced cochlear damage, stress, sinusitis or allergies, and Meniere’s Disease. The substances used to prepare them are natural, hence, they have no side effects.

Lifestyle changes aimed at improving your health are key players to reducing the unwanted sound to ignorable to the extent that it will no longer be a factor in your life. One aspect that you have take care of is your diet. Of course, you have to make sure that it is healthy. It would particularly help if your diet is high in fresh fruits and vegetables and low in frozen, canned, or processed foods. Also, reduce your salt intake as well as foods that contain caffeine. Proper and regular exercise should also be maintained, and it does not necessarily mean that you go to a gym regularly. Activities like taking the stairs instead of the elevator and taking walks are good forms of exercise. You also have to get enough sleep at night, and if you have unhealthy habits like smoking and excessive drinking, then perhaps it is high time that you quit them.

The best step that you can take, though, if you really want to stop ringing in ears is to stay positive and not get stressed very easily. Remember that battling against the unwanted sound is primarily a matter of attitude.
