Rumors of Hearing Loss
As a child you grow up hearing from your parents that listening to loud music either at a concert or via your music player or that turning your television volume way up can lead to hearing loss or other conditions that impact the ears such as tinnitus. There is medical proof that your parents weren’t just getting you to turn the music down so as not to bother them. Jamming your radio at full blast or turning the television way up can in fact degrade your hearing or leading to a constant ringing in the ears called tinnitus. These conditions can impact you for life and so it is important you follow the advice of your parents.
Reality though is that very few people follow the advice of their parents while growing up. In fact because parents provide the advice it is sometimes ignored on purpose. If you’ve reached adulthood and our now suffering due to this all you can do is attempt to alleviate the symptoms. Thankfully there are some tinnitus relief treatments that can help eliminate the ringing and there are solutions to hearing loss such as hearing aids. Although not ideal they do provide relief and so can help you cope with the mistakes you made when you were too young to know better.
