Most tinnitus problems will increase in volume and intensity when one is exposed to stress or traumatic life events. We find that by trying to live a healthier lifestyle, eating and exercising helps enormously with keeping stress and tinnitus in check.

I have found Ellen's advice through emails and now this video to be most helpful. Here in New Zealand there is nowhere to go to get answers for this horrible affliction. Knowing other people out there are going through the same problem is reassuring.

I now realise that my tinnitus is a combination of stress and cochlear damage. My ears 'pop' all the time when I swallow or just move my tongue in a cerain way, along with a constant clicking jaw so I guess this will contribute to the problem too.
