Hi John, I am at my wits end as my tinnitus is progressing even after I took the advice or aud. and a hearing aid that has music. I told them it seemed to enhance the roar but they said no, I did find on internet where a man experience the same problem. I need the roar to stop and I dont know whether to go with neuronomics over 4,000 out of pocket or biofeedback etc; or med. Please advice your honest opinion.
Ginkgo Biloba Tinnitus
Tinnitus can be very difficult to live with and anyone suffering with this problem is always searching for relief. There are many different home remedies and herbs used to help relieve the symptoms of tinnitus. Ginkgo biloba is one of the most popular ones around. This herb has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years and it’s considered to be extremely effective for many conditions.
Ginkgo biloba is derived from one of the oldest living trees in the world. Some of these trees have been recorded to live as long as a thousand years. They can grow as high as one hundred and twenty feet tall. They have fan-shaped leaves, short branches and fruits that are not edible. Ginkgo biloba extract is prepared from dried leaves and it’s highly concentrated. This herbal extract has now made its way to the Western world over the past several years. In the United States, it’s being used to treat many medical conditions and now it’s being recommended by many tinnitus sufferers as a way to find some much needed relief.
Studies done on tinnitus and biloba extract have conflicting results but many tinnitus sufferers claim to have used ginkgo biloba with great success. It’s certainly something worth giving a try. However, you do need to have patients and give this form of treatment a chance to work. In many cases, the patient started showing relief after about four to six weeks. It could take longer if you have severe tinnitus or if you’ve been suffering with this condition for a long time.
As with any other product, it’s recommended that you talk to your doctor before taking this herb. Although it seldom has serious side effects, it could interact with other drugs or medical conditions and cause problems for the patient. It’s always best to be on the safe side when it comes to your health and well-being.
