Tinnitus Questions Video Series Episode #4

By John On September 11, 2009 Under Featured Post, Tinnitus Videos

Welcome to Ellen’s ‘Get Your Tinnitus Questions Answered’ Video Series… Episode #4

1. Question #1: Will the ringing eventually get louder in my ears?

A: It is extremely difficult to predict if someone’s tinnitus will get louder as tinnitus is very random and unpredictable however in most cases as time goes by the volume and intensity of one’s tinnitus will often increase without a specific reason.

2. Question #2: What causes the ringing to be louder sometimes than other times?

A: The ringing can be louder when one is anxious or stressed, it often will seem to be more severe in the evenings when the body is tired and one is trying to go to sleep as then our surroundings are definitely more quiet and we do not have the everyday surrounding noise to mask it.

3. Question #3: Once you have had tinnitus, and it seems to have gone away, do you always have to be careful of fearful of it returning?

A: Yes, it is important to take major care in ensuring that you do everything within your control to avoid exposing yourself to things that could cause tinnitus.

OK well that’s all we have time for this week BUT remember please leave your comments and post your thoughts below…

It would increase? Mine has steadily gotten quieter everyday. I’ve had tinnitus for about three months now (it was caused by medication) and now have been taking lipo-flavonoid for over a month, and it’s helped tremendously. I guess one’s tinnitus may increase if the person does absolutely nothing about it.

John – I have asked a simple question re international shipping costs and instead of answering me you send me solicitations – not a good look at all – actually, annoying.

I have had tinnitus for about 20 years but recently have noticed a strange happening – namely a snapping sound like a rubber band striking a metal plate when I get up in the middle of the night for a potty break. Not really bothersome, but could it be symptomatic of some other more sinister problem?

Hi John, I have recently started taking T-Gone but am wondering as this is a homeopathic treatment, do I need to stop drinking coffee, alcohol, peppermints etc? Also, How long would I expect to wait before feeling some change.

Many Thanks

David
