Constant Ringing in Ears

I Cured My Tinnitus

I Cured My Tinnitus

A constant ringing in ears was a real problem for me. I suffered with tinnitus for years thinking there was nothing that could be done about it. At first, I didn’t even know what the problem was. It started off feint and subtle. It was just a low volume, high-pitched type of squeal in my left here.

I would hear it on occasion when waking up in the morning, yawning or other times just for a moment.

I didn’t really think much of it at first and just considered it something everyone experiences at some time.

Did you know that there are about 12 million people in the USA that are so badly affected by a constant ringing in their ears that they are unable to function normally?

These people cannot work, they battle to socialize with others and find themselves completely and utterly in the grip of a condition modern medicine has no clue how to deal with!

It is estimated that some 17% of the population are tinnitus sufferers in the US and that this percentage is increasing dramatically as a result of the noisy and stressful world we live in.

I was one of these people and you may be, too but there is hope for you just like there was for me. I found relief from my constant ringing in ears in the form of homeopathic remedies combined with lifestyle changes.

First, I began protecting my ears right now from loud noises and other damaging situations. Then I also knew I had to identify the cause of my ear ringing.

• The only successful way to get lasting relief from tinnitus and ear ringing is to correctly identify the underlying problem.

• Find the root cause of the tinnitus and then to treat the problem.

Once I discovered the root cause of my ringing in the ears I was also able to find a treatment that helped my condition. While it is not a cure and I occasionally still experience the ringing (like when I am stressed), it is no longer constant and most days I don’t even notice it at all. This was the relief I had been looking for.

Tinnitus Treatment

When you have tinnitus, you want a treatment that works for you. So how do you know what types of treatments exist for you and if there is even any help at all of finding relief?

While there is technically no cure for tinnitus, there are treatment options for you to consider.

You shouldn’t suffer alone, especially when people before you have found ways to help their ringing in the ears.

If you do enough research on the subject of tinnitus treatments you will soon discover that there is actually no conventional tinnitus treatment available. So what exactly does this mean for the person who is suffering from tinnitus?

Some tinnitus treatment options include:

  • Masking techniques
  • Natural or homeopathic remedies
  • Vitamin and herbal based remedies
  • Alternative treatments

Some people find that a combination treatment approach works best for them. For example, masking combined with a healthier diet and learning to manage stress better may work wonders for one person.

Here are three effective treatments for tinnitus that you can try out starting right now.

  1. Cognitive therapy- In this treatment option, they try to change your reaction and behavior to the sounds of tinnitus as opposed to trying to cure it.
  2. Tinnitus retraining therapy- This is similar to cognitive therapy and TRT attempts to reduce the perception of the noises heard by tinnitus.
  3. Masking- Masking is great because it uses white noise to cover the sounds of tinnitus so you can go on with your daily functions, sleep at night and more.

The best first step to choosing a tinnitus treatment is to try to determine what caused your tinnitus. When you can get to the root cause of the ringing in your ears, it will help you choose the right treatment option for you. This is especially true with natural or homeopathic options.

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy

By Lisa On October 6, 2009 No Comments

Does Tinnitus Retraining Therapy Work?

When a diagnosis of tinnitus has been achieved, many doctors are going to put their patients through tinnitus retraining therapy.  This can offer their patients some relief from the symptoms of tinnitus.  There is no cure for tinnitus so this is one way that patients can learn to cope with this disease.  In many cases, the only way to get through having tinnitus is by learning to deal with it.  This can be done by going through tinnitus retraining therapy.

How tinnitus retraining therapy works is by training the brain to ignore the ringing in the ears that is the most common symptom of this disease.  Not all tinnitus sufferers hear the ringing constantly.  It can come and go with abandon.  There is not set time or place, one minute there is no noise and then the next there is a loud ringing in one or both ears.  In some cases, the ringing may abate in one ear and then begin in another.

Teaching the brain not to hear this ringing is not going to be an easy task.  As with anything, it is going take some work and the patient has to be completely dedicated to making this therapy work.  Without this dedication, the tinnitus retraining therapy is not going to work and the patient is going to have to find some other means of controlling the ringing in their ears.

Not all therapies are going to work for all people.  There are other methods that may work if the retraining does not.  It is important for the patient to find the relief that works for them and then stick to it.  Hearing constant ringing in the ears, even for short periods of time can be more than annoying.  It can cause other problems in the patient’s lifestyle as well.  This is why learning to live with it by using therapy is so important.

Many people find that the only way they get relief from tinnitus is through the use of homeopathic tinnitus remedies.
