Natural Tinnitus Remedy – Your Way To Healing

By Fritz On September 14, 2009 No Comments

You don’t have to succumb to relentless tinnitus noise. If your doctor told you there’s virtually no cure, then you’re misled. Natural tinnitus remedy aims to give you back your quality life that is free from the disabling ordeal of what others speak of as ringing in the ears.

Tinnitus bothers more than fifty million people in United Kingdom, at least during some points in their lives. It becomes a wonder why such number of people have become affected. One lingering presumption is due to noise exposure and other bad habits which may in one way or another lead to ear problems like eardrum damage.

Doctors have prescribed pills to help patients sleep at night when noises in the head come their loudest. Antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs are given to people, too, to help them cope with stress that comes along when one hears relentless noise that others cannot.

The internet has become a field where alternative medicine has been popularly advertised. Homeopaths have sought ways to help people with debilitating tinnitus regain normal lives. Their homeopathic preparations have been reported by so many patients to be truly effective in stopping the annoying noises in their ears.

Natural tinnitus remedy can also come as herbal preparations like Ginko biloba, which, according to patient reports, produce dramatic improvements with long term use.

The matter with these natural preparations, say medical scientists, is that they don’t have enough laboratory back up tests. No one can truly speak of curative claims a substance produces without decent background research to support such assertions.

Experts on alternative medicine, however, points out that no support can be expected from medical scientists, whose synthetic medicines out in the market feel the threat from natural medicines, which deliver cure without much unpleasant side effects. This is a bias assumption.

Who could deny the testimonies of curative benefits coming from patients who have tried these remedies?

Other proponents of natural cure speak of lifestyle and diet management as the best way to deal with tinnitus. The most important to remember is avoidance of further damage. If you are a disco buff, now is the time to change your interest. Excessive noise does more damage to your ears.

Caffeine, smoke, fat, and salt must be avoided. These substances aggravate an existing ringing in the ears.

Natural tinnitus remedy also involves stress management. People with tinnitus who are constantly stressed from work and from anxieties experience the worst cases of tinnitus. It is also believed that stress might be an important triggering factor in idiopathic tinnitus.

Homeopathic Tinnitus Cure

By Lisa On September 8, 2009 No Comments

There are many homeopathic remedies available that are used to treat tinnitus. The homeopathic tinnitus cure Lycopodium is often used for treating this condition. It’s given to tinnitus patients when they’re suffering from a roaring or humming noise or when the hearing is impaired. Patients suffer from ear infections with a discharge, echoing sounds in their ears, urinary tract conditions and chronic digestive problems may be given Lycopodium as well.

Lycopodium is an evergreen plant that grows continuously in the woodlands and heaths of Great Britain, North America and Northern Europe. They are a unique looking plant that has wide vertical branches, slender creeping stems that run across the ground and they’re considered an earthly plant from the family of Lycopodiaceae.

This flowerless plant has tiny needle-like shaped leaves that completely cover the stem and branches. It belongs to the genus of clubmosses and they’re often referred to as “ground pines”. Homeopathic remedies used for tinnitus and other illnesses are made from the yellow pollen found in the spores. This pollen is water resistant, odorless and very flammable. In fact, it’s so flammable that it was once used as an explosive in fireworks.

When taking Lycopodium or any other homeopathic tinnitus cure, it’s important to follow directions and be patient. Many people today are searching for instant results and this is not something that you’ll normally see with any type of home remedy. However, considering the fact that there is no cure for tinnitus, finding any form of relief even if it takes awhile is worth the wait. You just have to remind yourself that it’s not something that happens overnight.

Any homeopathic tinnitus cure requires commitment on your part. Otherwise, you won’t get the full benefits and the relief you’ve been searching for. Even if you’re not able to completely eliminate the tinnitus, you should be able to reduce the noise you hear, which can greatly improve the quality of your life.

Symptoms of Ringing in Ears

By Fritz On July 27, 2009 1 Comment

I was told that the most common symptoms of ringing in ears are a noise heard in the ears or within the head.  From my own experience, I began hearing a very mild ear ringing in my left ear.  This started out as a very mild ringing and I would usually hear it at around 10 in the evening onwards.  This is the time when everyone else in the house has gone to bed and I am left awake since I still do a lot of things in front of my laptop and that is the only time of the day where I can concentrate on my job.

There are nights when I won’t hear the symptoms of ringing in ears and there are also some nights when I would hear something like a very sharp stinging noise.  During these times I would turn on the TV or the air conditioner just to cover the silence in my surroundings.  Sometimes I would doubt I’m just hearing crickets outside the house or whatever insect is making that noise.  This thing really bothers me, especially when at that time at night I would need to focus on writing the articles that I need to submit for the fashion magazine that I am writing for.  There are deadlines that I need to meet and this thing just makes me stressed.

There was really a time that I was not able to meet my deadline.  That was the time when I decided I had to do something and I needed to see my doctor.  During my consultation with my physician, I learned several things.  I learned that the symptoms can vary from one person to another.  So the symptoms that I manifested may not be the same as the one manifested by other people experiencing the same problem.

The good thing was I sought medical help so that the cause of my ear ringing would be determined.  I was informed that several sufferers of tinnitus do not realize the necessity of seeking medical help immediately which makes it more difficult to immediately identify the real problem causing the ringing in ears.

Aside from just hearing a ringing in the ears, other symptoms that would be experienced by people having an ear ringing like mine are a pain in the ears, a partial or complete hearing loss, dizziness or vertigo, lack of sleep, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, and high blood pressure.

As the symptoms of ringing in ears vary, the health problem that caused it also varies.  This is how I understood it from the explanation of my physician.  After asking about the symptoms that I felt, my physician then started to put me into several tests to have the cause of my ringing in ears diagnosed and possibly stop ringing in ears.

The Do’s In Getting the Appropriate Tinnitus Treatment

By Jane On February 5, 2009 No Comments

Relying on a single tinnitus treatment should not be the case if you want to take control of this ringing in the ears. Various treatments should be taken into consideration, such as the ones that focus on treating the root cause of the unwanted sound, help you manage stress, and boost your immune system. Natural treatments, which usually include diet and lifestyle changes, are also important.

To help you get started, here are the do’s in getting the right remedies:

Do seek the help of your physician in determining the root cause of the ringing in your ears.

The primary remedy that you need is the one that focuses on the root cause of the unwanted sound. And to help you out, the condition that may have caused it should be diagnosed. Your doctor will run certain some basic tests, but you may also have to undergo a specialized test. Specialized tests include X-rays, audiogram, residual inhibition, and evoked response audiometry. Moreover, examples of remedies that focus on the root causes are homeopathic tinnitus remedies.

Do know the activities that relax you.

Finding time to relax is very important in stress management. Stress tends to increase the level of ear ringing, hence, it should be managed or controlled. Ask yourself, what should I do to get relaxed? Is it listening to the sounds produced by nature? Is it reading your favorite book? Is it writing down how you are feeling?

It is also important to admit to yourself if you need some professional help. If you do, counseling is one stress management program that may work for you.

Do know the problems that you encounter relating to ringing in the ears.

Finding it hard to fall asleep at night as well as to concentrate is a common problem that ear ringing sufferers encounter. If you do have this kind of problem, then you need a remedy that would help you concentrate and fall asleep at night. Good examples of remedies that address sleeping problems are white noise maskers. The white noise from your television can be used as maskers, but there are also commercially available ones in CD and MP3 formats.

Do evaluate your lifestyle.

Your lifestyle plays a vital role in keeping your immune system in a good state. The immune system should be kept strong to ward off infections and diseases that may increase the level of the unwanted sound. See to it that you are making use of natural tinnitus treatment like maintaining a proper diet and exercising regularly.
